On this three week course we will look at representative examples of the variety of poetry that is being written in England at present, and where possible listen to recordings of the poets reading their own work.
These will include poets who are coming to the end of their career, such as Hugo Williams who has published over twenty collections, to Liz Berry, over forty years his junior but who has already won awards for her first three books.
The remaining four poets will be Mimi Khalvati, Carol Ann Duffy, Tony Harrison and one still to be decided.
Please note there will be no session on 30th October during the half-term week.
