After studying graphic design and printmaking, Jane worked as art director of fashion magazines in the swinging 70s until she moved out of London to design BBC Wildlife magazine in Bristol. Then she moved into teaching art in schools.

Now retired, she practises a variety of art media, from stained glass to printing, always referring to the sketchbooks she has regularly filled since schooldays.
