Christophe Fricker

Dr Christophe Fricker teaches German and Translation at the University of Bristol. His work is mainly about the role of language in the life of communities, from political to literary. He has a decade of experience as executive of a research and consultancy firm and has been teaching at universities in Canada, the US and the UK for twice that time.
Christophe studied Politics and German literature once on (nearly) every continent; including three years (marked by relentless drizzle) at Oxford. Christophe is a prize-winning author, editor, and translator of nearly thirty books on a wide range of issues around language and communities. One of his own favourites is his book of 111 reasons to love England.
