Carol Wood
Throughout her life, Carol has been keenly interested in people’s rights, particularly women’s rights. She graduated in Science, subsequently working in forensics, industry, teaching and finally as deputy head of a large comprehensive school. In retirement she has reverted to an early love of art, qualifying at Reading University in the History of Art and is an active artist. She has given lectures to adults on a wide range of subjects and has not been afraid to demonstrate for her beliefs, including supporting the Greenham women. Family, art, volunteering, nature and travelling mean that Carol’s life is full and interesting. Carol hopes that she has passed on her beliefs in a fair society to her two daughters and now takes a close interest in the development of her two grandchildren.
